CASINO
Eclectic building from 1925 with unique decorations and exhibition hall, ideal for those seeking culture and art in a historic setting.
The current headquarters of the Casino of Ferrol is a building signed by Rodolfo Ucha in 1925. Its style is eclectic, between modernism and functionalism.Felipe Bello Piñeiro decorated the “Conversations Room” popularly known as “La Pecera” (fish tank). He achieved a unique decorative set in Galicia through ornamentation with plants and oriental inspiration (interested people and groups can request authorization to see the paintings of Bello Piñeiro). There is an exhibition and conference room on the first floor.
Some well-known characters of the city occupied positions in the Casino, like the General of Engineers, Andrés Avelino Comerma, or the writer Gonzalo Torrente Ballester.
