THE TRAIL OF THE BRION MOUNTAINS

A 10 km route offers history, nature and breathtaking views, ideal for lovers of hiking and local culture.

This 10-km route is part of the road that goes from San Felipe Castle to San Cristobal. You have to take a detour following a path to the old castle of San Carlos and continue to the sandy area of Cariño. Then, following the direction of O Pieiro, you go up to Monteventoso. On August 25th 1800, some 3.000 people from the city of Ferrol defeated 15.000 Englishmen.

Passing through the small nucleus of Liñares, you can descend to Brión and then continue to A Cabana and the promenade of A Malata.
